Job Posting || ELL positions, OCAD University, Toronto

The Office of Continuing Studies at OCAD University in Toronto is hiring for two short term contract (July 3rd 2018 – August 9th 2018) ELL positions. Job summaries can be found below. English Language Learning (ELL) Consultant:
Reporting to the Director, Office of Continuing Studies and working closely with the Program Coordinator and Instructors for the English for Art and Design (EAD) Summer Program, the Writing & Learning Consultant (ELL) will provide learning support for English Language Learners (ELL) at OCAD University (OCAD U) with an aim of enhancing ELL student academic performance and engagement. The emphasis of this role is on one-on-one writing and academic skills consultations with ELL students.

English for Art and Design (EAD) Instructor:
English for Art and Design (EAD) is a six-week summer program for English Language Learners (ESL/multilingual students) who are already accepted to OCAD University and are planning on starting in September. The EAD program will teach students the language skills required to talk and write about their work, negotiate group projects, and participate in class discussions. The EAD program is designed for OCAD U students and taught by OCAD U instructors.

The EAD Instructor reports to the Director, Office of Continuing Studies. The EAD Instructor will work closely with the EAD teaching team to deliver one section of the Discussion Topics in Visual Culture and provide learning support for English Language Learners (ELL) in the EAD Program, with an aim of enhancing ELL student academic performance and engagement.
